About Michael
Born and raised in North Carolina and a Duke University graduate, Michael Pell has spent years writing code across the globe, from the bustling tech scenes of NYC and San Francisco to international markets. His favorite tech stack is Ruby on Rails, which he's used to build applications throughout his career.
Drawing from his global experience and deep North Carolina roots, Michael co-founded North Carolina Tech Workers to create a supportive community for technology professionals across the state. His mission is to bridge the gap between individual tech professionals and create a unified voice that supports career growth, education, and community building throughout North Carolina.

About Samuel
Samuel Kellum is a full-stack software engineer and a co-founder of North Carolina Tech Workers, the state chapter of U.S. Tech Workers. He graduated from Tulane University in 2023 with a degree in computer science and finance, and he competed on the school's cross country and track teams, where he was honored as Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
After witnessing firsthand the difficulties in securing employment in a tech industry that increasingly alienates American workers, Samuel's mission is to advocate for a system where American workers and North Carolinians come first.
